The pride of cooperative housing

Wojciech Pronobis, President of the "Na Skarpie" Housing Cooperative

The "Na Skarpie" Housing Cooperative (HC), established in Toruń 25 years ago, has over 30 thousand tenants and its subdivisions cover the area of over 90 hectares, 95% of which is owned by the HC. Wojciech Pronobis has been the HC's president since 1992.

Thanks to he president's hard work and his skills as an excellent strategist and politician of the cooperative, and the efforts of the staff, the "Na Skarpie" HC has become a leader among Poland's housing cooperatives and has achieved a high position among managers of real estate. It achieved a European standard of services by implementing the Integrated System of Management for Quality, Environment, and Occupational Health and Safety.

In recognition of the overall professional achievement, the Committee of the Polish Quality Award, under the auspices of the Polish Chamber of Commerce, awarded the diploma and statue of a winner of the 1st edition of the "Primus Inter Pares" contest to Wojciech Pronobis.

The "Na Skarpie" HC, managed by Wojciech Pronobis, was the first and only housing cooperative in Poland to receive the Certificate of a Corruption Prevention System, and was recognized as a distinguished participant of the 12th edition of the Polish Quality Award contest in the category of small and medium service companies.

In the 25th year of its existence, the "Na Skarpie" HC received the title of a winner of the 13th edition of the Polish Quality Award contest in the category of small and medium service companies.

The motto of the cooperative is "A tenant-friendly cooperative."

To bring this principle to life, the cooperative has implemented a number of innovative solutions that have resulted in high quality of services, which undoubtedly is an added value for its clients. Considering the fact that the main motto in the daily work with customers is "people first," the Management Board has initiated the removal of architectural barriers, thus enabling all the handicapped tenants to take an active part in the life of their neighborhood.

To sum up, based on an assessment by a group of independent experts, the "Na Skarpie" HC has been recognized as a model for Polish housing cooperatives and Wojciech Pronobis has been recognized as a leader of quality. n
