Gdynia harbour puts on the development
Port of Gdynia Authority SA - a
company constituted by the Treasury and Gdynia commune - is responsible for the
planned and harmonious harbour development. The priority of the company's
activity, the enterprise of which has the statutory status of "the
enterprise of public usefulness", is the optimum usages of harbour areas
and infrastructure, its modernization and reconstruction as well as the
improvement of harbour accessibility from the land side.
Harbour infrastructure (harbour water regions, landing
piers, roads and railway tracks) is of public generally accessible
infrastructure character and is rendered accessible to all the users on the
equal conditions specified in the Harbour Dues Tariff.
The exploitation activity is however, led by its separate
transactors, which lease from the Harbour Management storage areas by means of
public tenders and which invest in their own reloading devices.
Within the limits of Gdynia sea harbour, which covers the
area of 492,7 ha there are about 400 of different transactors acting - starting
from reloading operators through production and repair shipyards to transport
and tourist service providers.
"By means of harbour infrastructure development, we
shall reach the appointed aims: new investors as well as stable and balanced
development of service sector in Gdynia harbour".

Components of the first investment phase will mostly
concern: the main communication road, the system of railway side tracks, the
car park for trucks, on-ground and underground infrastructure (including the
