European Association for Coal and Lignite

EURACOAL with its seat in Brussels groups producers as well as importers and companies involved in coal trading in Europe. EURACOAL groups 22 organisations each of which groups companies involved in solid fuel industry from European Union Member States: Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, France, Greece, Spain, Germany, Poland, Romania, Hungary and the United Kingdom. Bosnia and Serbia have observer status. The goal of activity of EURACOAL is to consolidate the position of solid fuels in relation to the other competing sources of energy as well as representation of coal industry in various European forums. The key tasks of EURACOAL are to promote coal, protect the market and develop the future of coal. Now the association is headed by Maksymilian Klank - former CEO of Kompania Weglowa and Katowicki Holding Weglowy. n
