Opinia Polaków o energetyce jądrowej

Mimo widocznych obaw związanych z budową elektrowni jądrowej, niemalże połowa Polaków (47%) jest zdania, że Polska powinna w najbliższym czasie zbudować taką elektrownię. 38% mieszkańców Polski jest przeciwnych budowaniu w kraju elektrowni jądrowej, a co 7 Polak nie wyrobił sobie jeszcze zdania na ten temat.

• Pomysł budowy elektrowni jądrowej w Polsce wyraźnie częściej popierają mężczyźni niż kobiety (61% vs 35%).
• Stosunkowo najmniej przychylne idei budowy elektrowni jądrowej są osoby z najstarszej kategorii wiekowej (powyżej 60 lat).
• Poparcie dla budowy elektrowni jądrowej rośnie wraz ze wzrostem poziomu wykształcenia. W grupie osób z wykształceniem podstawowym pomysł popiera jedynie 38% pytanych, wśród osób z wykształceniem wyższym pomysł popiera dwóch na trzech pytanych Polaków.
• Analogiczną sytuację obserwujemy dla kryterium wielkości dochodu w rodzinie – im jest on wyższy, tym większy jest poziom akceptacji dla budowy elektrowni jądrowej w Polsce (w grupie o najwyższych dochodach, powyżej 4000 zł, poparcie sięga 60%, podczas gdy w grupie o dochodach do 1000 zł wynosi jedynie około 33%).
• Również osoby z niższych klas społecznych wykazują niższy poziom akceptacji dla pomysłu budowy elektrowni jądrowej.
• W grupie menedżerów poparcie sięga 70% (najwyższy stopień akceptacji wśród wszystkich grup zawodowych), podczas gdy w grupie gospodyń domowych jedynie co czwarta respondentka akceptuje ideę budowy elektrowni jądrowej w Polsce (najniższy stopień akceptacji). Stosunkowo wysoki poziom akceptacji cechuje również studentów (57%). Poparcie wśród pozostałych grup zawodowych waha się w przedziale 42-49%.
• Relatywnie największe poparcie dla budowy elektrowni wykazują Polacy w miejscowościach do 20 tys. mieszkańców (66%).

Poles’ attitudes towards nuclear power engineering

Despite evident concern about the erection of a nuclear power plant, nearly a half of all Poles (47%) said that Poland should build such a plant in the near future. 38% of Poles are against the erection of the nuclear power plant and every seventh Poland’s inhabitant has no opinion on this subject.

• The concept of building the nuclear power plant in Poland is supported much more frequently by men than by women (61% vs. 35%).
• People from the oldest age category (aged 60 and more) are relatively the least inclined to support the nuclear power plant concept.
• The higher level of received education, the higher support for the nuclear power plant erection. In the group of people who received only primary education the concept is supported only by 38% of poll participants, while in the group of persons having higher education the idea is supported by two out of three Poles participating in the poll.
• The situation is similar if income is taken into account: the higher income, the higher level of support for the erection of the nuclear power plant in Poland (60% in the highest income (PLN 4,000 and more) group and only approximately 33% in the group with the income up to PLN 1,000).
• The lower level of support for the nuclear power plant concept is also shown by persons from lower social classes.
• In the managerial group the support reaches 70% (the highest level of acceptance in all professional groups) while in the housewife group the concept of the nuclear power plant erection in Poland is accepted only by every fourth respondent (the lowest level of acceptance). A relatively high level of support is reported among students (57%). The support in the remaining professional groups varies from 42% to 49%.
• Relatively the highest level of support for the nuclear power plant erection is reported by Poles living in locations inhabited by not more than 20,000 people (66%).
